Planning a Christmas proposal?

Are you considering a holiday proposal? We’ve put together a selection of incredible rings that our designer Erin Cox Jewellery has available on her website for those still looking for the perfect ring to ask the big question with (Obviously they would all look incredible with a Molten Wedding Ring!) and some super romantic proposal suggestions.

The Classics…

You can not go wrong with a classic diamond engagement ring. Choose from 18ct gold or platinum.

The Modern…

Modern shaped stones, settings and mixed metals for a modern twist on the classic engagement ring.

The coloured ones…

Maybe try a pop of colour?

The Fairtrade…

All of Erin’s rings are created with eco (recycled gold) but these are ethical Fairtrade gold.

So now you’ve picked the ring how are you going to ask the big question? Here are a couple of our favourite ways to propose over the winter holiday…

  1. Hide the ring under the star or fairy on the Christmas tree and tell them their present is hiding on the tree and they have to find it.

  2. Put the ring in their stocking - we love the idea of it being wrapped in many layers of boxes (recyclable of course) starting with a really big one working down to a tiny little one.

  3. Write them a Christmas card they'll never forget. If your someone who finds it hard to say out loud how you really feel or are worried you may fumble your words then write it down and then be there on on one knee once they look up!

  4. If you are feeling the pressure then clear your head with a romantic winter walk. You will ‘feel’ the perfect time to ask.

  5. How about using fairy lights to write out ‘will you marry me’

  6. Get an open personalised Christmas bauble with ‘will you marry me’ written on it and the ring inside

  7. The risky one - hide the ring in the Christmas pudding, or a mice pie!

  8. Pop the ring in a glass of bubbles to toast the festive period.

  9. If you are lucky enough to have snow then write it in the snow so when they open the curtains in the morning they see it

  10. If your other half is a tea or coffee drinker then how about making them a cup in a new Christmas mug which has ‘will you marry me’ written in the bottom which will reveal itself when they finish their drink?
