About Molten Wedding Rings
The "Molten Wedding Ring Company" was born from a desire to make unique wedding rings that are ethical, luxurious and timeless with a modern twist…rings that have a raw elegance, beautiful when worn alone, yet sit well alongside modern and traditional engagement rings. Rings that have a heart, a story and are crafted with care and attention by artisans with high quality materials.
The molten style of our rings began in 2005 with a collection aptly named serendipity by Devon based jeweller Erin Cox. This signature collection, that came about through playing with metal and pushing it to its limits while in its molten state, has developed over years of perfecting. The refined, fluid, molten texture featured in all of Erin's jewellery collections in silver, gold and platinum reflects the Devon landscape in which she lives and takes inspiration for her work.
Erin still creates stunning fine jewellery in her workshop in Topsham, Devon. You can visit her website or boutique shop where you will find cabinets filled with timeless pieces of beautiful jewellery that are made to Erin's exacting high standards.
THE PROCESS OF MAKING OUR RINGS …
Erin developed the range suitable for men and women by creating 8 different rings. Moulds (a bit like a jelly mould!) were made from these in order to have multiples made in a range of metals. When you order your ring, your chosen metal is cast (heated to a liquid and poured) into Erin’s original mould, it is then ‘cleaned up’ in our Topsham based studio by skilled jewellers. This involved removing excess metal from the casting, filing, smoothing, sizing and polishing before being carefully checked and sent on to its new owner. See the process below.
