We understand that it is difficult to envisage rings from photographs and descriptions and aim to make the process as simple as possible. With over 30 years combined experience of selling wedding rings Erin and Laura can guide you every step of the way to ensure that you have the perfect rings for your special day.
We ask that you give us as much time as possible, ideally 6 weeks, for your order to be completed. This gives us time to ensure that everything is perfect, but we can do things quickly if required. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Choosing a ring
When choosing your ring style many factors can affect your decision.
If you have an engagement ring to match you may want us to look at the depth of your ring, we can see which ring will sit alongside it comfortably.
The width of a ring is personal preference, we are happy to send a silver sample of a ring that you would like to try for £10 which includes posting to you and a prepaid return delivery bag. Your payment for this will then be deducted from the cost of your chosen wedding ring. We will also include a colour card showing the metal colour tones and a handy finger sizing gauge to help with your decision. If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch, we have many years experience of choosing the right wedding rings and are always happy to help.
If you have an engagement ring you ideally need to match the metal type. This is because wearing two rings alongside one another will wear over time, choosing the same metal ensures that this wear is as minimal as possible on both of your rings. For example if you have an 18ct white gold engagement ring you should ideally wear an 18ct white or yellow gold ring alongside it. Obviously you can choose any ring that you like but that just helps as a starting point.
We use natural metal without any plating, the colour of our white golds are a lovely grey tone in 18ct, and slightly yellower grey in 9ct.
A bit of info ... 9ct gold contains 37.5% gold the rest is made up of other metals, 18ct gold contains 75% gold. As such, 18ct has a rich gold colour, and 9ct has a more muted colour, 9ct red gold has a strong copper colour and suits most skin tones.
We can send you a ring sizer band to enable you to size your finger at home.
We recommend putting this around your finger so that it comfortably goes over your knuckle. If you are ordering a wider ring it will need to be a little larger than this size, but you don't have to worry about that! Just let us know this measurement and we will alter the size to suit the width of your chosen ring.
Fingers often change size between summer and winter, often smaller when they are cold. We recommend wedding rings fitting so that when taking them off you have to walk them over your knuckle, this helps them to stay on. It initially may feel a bit tight or give a slightly squished look on your finger, this is normal, after wearing a ring for a couple of weeks you won't notice it. Your molten wedding rings can always be resized.
